- I am Robert Roling and I have been building and restoring custom and antique vehicles for over 25 years. After having several bad experiences with claims adjusters and independent appraisers, I decided to research the appraisal industry and see if I could use my years of experience to do appraisals. In 2020 I ended up getting a certification through the IACP (Independant Appraiser Certification Program). It was an informative program that taught me the basics of appraising and introduced me to the USPAP appraisal standards. After completing the certification program, I held a certification with the Bureau Of Certified Auto Appraisers (BOCAA). What I learned over the next few years is that my knowledge and skills at writing a comprehensive appraisal report are what make me a good auto appraiser, not the certification. I am no longer affiliated with the BOCAA. I am, however, still offering my appraisal services to anyone with an antique or custom car. In the last few years, I've written a dozen or so appraisals for owners and attorneys. The feedback on all the appraisals has been positive with none of them being rejected by a bank or insurance company. USPAP guidelines are followed in all my appraisals. I am also an ASE certified collision repair technician with over 30 years of experience in the automotive service industry.
